Reinstalling a server

Reinstall on the server page erases the disk and installs a fresh operating system of your choice. The IP address stays the same; a new password is generated; your SSH keys can be installed again.

Everything on the disk is lost. Take a backup first if you have the add-on, or a snapshot if you want a quick way back (a snapshot survives a reinstall only while the server exists — it does not).

It takes a few minutes. If a one-click application was installed when you ordered, it is installed again afterwards with the answers you gave then.
